Thanks for stopping by! I’m Tina, the hands and heart behind Lamp on a Hill Candles & Gifts. Welcome to my wonderful world of stunning, scented objects & giftware.
I hand-pour my natural soy candles on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with care and intention. At Lamp on a Hill Candles & Gifts the core of what we do is a desire to encourage and inspire — especially through our signature Jars of Faith scripture candles, that speak hope and truth.
We also offer a wide selection of regular soy candles, each available in a variety of beautiful scents. If there's a fragrance you love but don't see, just let us know — we’ll do our best to find it for you. In addition to candles, we also create reed & felt diffusers and a thoughtful range of gifts, perfect for treating yourself or someone special.
Every product is customisable - from scent and colour to the vessel - so you can create something truly personal.
Planning a wedding, baby shower, fundraiser or special event? We love making party favours and bonbonnieres to add that perfect finishing touch. We'd love to hear from you!
In 2019 while I was visiting a good friend, I found her in her kitchen making candles with her family. I was fascinated and got myself a candle starter kit. I didn’t think twice about it as creating anything with my hands is like air to my lungs.
Since then I have been hooked and have enjoyed learning and perfecting the science that goes into creating an ideal candle. I’m a busy mum of 4 kids and with the amazing support of my husband, my hobby has become my full-time role. This gives me the ability to juggle family life and the business from our home where I lovingly hand pour our products in our candle studio located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia.
I named my business Lamp on a Hill Candles & Gifts - a reminder of one of my favourite bible verses found in Matthew 5:14. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
My first ever range was Jars of Faith and I will always keep this as part of my core range as I encourage others to Shine their Light.
